It does not take a serious injury for one to be in pain. A non-traumatic injury can be as debilitating as a fall or automobile accident, or sometimes even worse. We believe that the root of all non-traumatic injuries are not caused by just one facet but are multi-factorial, and therefore we believe its solution should also be multi-factorial. The innovative approach of infusing chiropractic, acupuncture and massage therapies are ideal not just back pain but for all problems. Many have received positive results from treatment for not only the common neck and back pain; but also for headaches, as well as elbow, wrist, hand, knee, ankle and foot pain.

Dr. Laura Agnew (SOMA)
My passion for chiropractic is derived from personal experience, as it changed my life when I was a child. Since the time I was a baby, I was plagued by relentless ear infections. Each year was marked with multiple middle of the night trips to the emergency room and round after round of antibiotics. I had tubes in my ears at age five, but still the ear infections persisted. Finally, as a last resort my parents brought me to a chiropractor. After receiving regular chiropractic adjustments, the painful ear infections finally ceased. Chiropractic worked when all other common medical interventions failed.
I decided to pursue a career in chiropractic so that I may help others in return for the life change I experienced as a child. I received a doctorate of chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West (LCCW). During my experience as a chiropractor I have given care to patients with chronic headaches, vertigo, osteoarthritis, low back pain, neck pain, and extremity pain. I love seeing my patients over come their conditions and thrive with the administration of regular chiropractic care.
During my career as a chiropractor I have enjoyed volunteering my services. I participated in a chiropractic mission trip to Cambodia. During the trip, our group gave chiropractic care to over 1,000 impoverished Cambodians with a multitude of conditions including scoliosis, neurological disorders, and surgical injuries. I continue to volunteer by offering weekly chiropractic care at Whitstlestop, an organization dedicated to the helping the elderly, in San Rafael, CA.
I continue to give chiropractic care to patients of all ages from children to senior citizens. I believe all people benefit from a healthy functioning nervous system. I use diversified technique in conjunction with therapeutic exercises and physiotherapy modalities to ensure my patients achieve an optimal result. I am dedicated to helping my patients reach and maintain their wellness goals.

Mr. Napolean is a West Highland White Terrier and Miss Cleopatra is a Scottish Terrier that bless us with their presence from time to time. Mr. Napolean is more friendly, while Miss Cleopatra is shy and follows Dr. Alex around the office. They prefer back scratches and the occasional full body massage. They are the official “Office Greeters" and they bring a smile to everyone who comes to our office (Chiro San Francisco) and make everyone feel at home.
